This error may also come hauuppauge if the Software Decoders have not been installed. To correct this error, run the PVR48xxx. Microsoft is aware of these types of issues with capture devices. It cannot capture the video directly.
It is usually a good idea to unplug the USB cable also.
This is a single file which includes the driver, the driver update, middleware, video decoder and WinTV v6 applications and all accessories. You will need to reboot the system during installation. If you get the same problem, the hardware may be defective and require repair. This error will only come up if the VFW drivers have been installed on the system.
Open WinTV and try adding a channel and see if the video and audio play. The only way to reset the device is to recycle the power to it by unplugging the unit from the power cable for a few seconds then re-plugging it.
